In any place people once were, as they leave, they will remembered for either the problems or the solutions they created, the same goes for us all. The people most remembered are people who created solutions that paved way for us. I call it, people who engage themselves with the Salmon Run. By the way, the salmon is a special kind of fish.
The salmon is determined. They swim against the heavy current in the salt water sea, leaping forward each time the tide draws them backwards thereby building so much muscles to carry on. This migration is called “Salmon run”
The purpose of the Salmons’ upstream move is to get to the fresh water where they themselves were born so they could spawn their new born into a better place and then die of exhaustion (putting in their best) and fulfillment.
I find this concept interesting.
Isn’t this what we all should be doing?
What are you leaving behind?
If you were to leave today, what would you want to be remembered for?
Last weekend, one of our former intern and my mentee Bella also launched his book. It’s my pleasure to do the Foreword to the book. Its amazing watching him move from a young undergraduate mentee into being a force that shuts down auditoriums. It was great seeing other Hexavian clients fly down to support at the launching too.
The truth is, this life can be meaningless if we don’t understand it on time till we get to the end of it only to realize that we haven’t really lived. It’s like climbing a ladder so hard and dedicatedly only to get to the top and then realize that it’s been leaning on the wrong wall.
We are mere vessels. We are just here to be used, by either of the forces; nothing more nothing less . It’s grace we shouldn’t take for granted to be able to be used by the better of them. If we ever become light, remember that it’s as a mere light to light others. But the good thing is that the candle loses nothing, not even its light from lighting another candle. And he that lights a path can never walk in darkness. We can always shine better, by lighting others. #HexavianTips
