The Scientific Explanation Behind How Big Earners are Big Learners

Build an inner data base for your desired experience.
At 11 years old Steve Tuttleman; President of America’s leading investment company started reading the Wall Street Journal with his grandfather. In the early days of Starbucks, Microsoft, Home-Depot, and Walmart he bought shares in this company and some other companies other investment bankers gave no chance.
When Steve was asked why he made such investment decisions he replied by saying “I bought what I liked, I go by my gut, like my father and grandfather, I always knew I would be an investor, our dinner table conversations were always about business as I grew up. I have been in this business for 30 years and I have always had a portfolio of companies, every company has its own issues that I’m constantly dealing with. I’m still building that inner database.
One interesting thing I found out about Steve’s experience is that your experience in life is a sum total of the quality of information you expose yourself to. A 100 percent validation to the popular saying that if you consistently hang around five poor people, it’s only a matter of time you will be the sixth.
The scientific explanation is this; the decisions and choices you make that eventually determine the outcome of your life are governed by the bottom up a neural pathway of the brain which some people call the subconscious mind. The activity in this part of the brain is so strong that it influences a large part of activities in the top to bottom neural pathway (conscious mind), such that when people think they are making a conscious decision, they are only acting on the data or information that the bottom up neural pathway has stored up over time.

As we constantly receive information, the bottom up neural pathway picks it up and feeds it to the top to the bottom neural pathway which then consciously make decisions that determine our experience in life. So most times when we think we are consciously making decisions, the truth is that we are only responding to the pre-installed database that we have accumulated from previous experience, interaction, and information.
My question this morning is this: are you building a database for the kind of experiences or results you want in your life?
Many of us are tempted to believe things happen. Dear friend, things don’t just happen. “They happen to happen because they have happened somewhere in your mind”.
What are you reading? Who are you listening to? I am a strong believer in the saying that what you will become in the next 5years is an aggregate of the books you read and the people you interact with. When we read good books and journals we subconsciously develop a database or picture of possible experiences and as we interact with our environment our conscious minds begin to receive signals on how knowledge can be used to create solutions.
You are the master of your soul and the captain of your faith. Create the blueprint of your desired experiences. I believe by now, you know how. Read good books. Keep good friends. Success will be close to auto-run in your life, almost as easy as how bad company corrupt good manners. Success is contagious and magnetic and magnetic.
So take action. Do a friend audit. Get a book! Read…

P.S. I assume a mum or dad might read this, so I will add something I learned from Steve’s story. If all you do with your children is watch Africa magic or whatever, I am glad to tell you that some parents are reading good books with their children and having profitable discussions with them over dinner, helping them create a great future. #bewise help the next generation.
